VODACOM SELECTS NEXT GENERATION IVR FROM SIEMENS AND TECNOMEN

Vodacom has selected Siemens Telecommunications and Tecnomen as their preferred
supplier for carrier-class VXML-based IVR applications.

For Siemens this contract further solidifies its position as a Value Added
Services (VAS) solutions provider in the market, proving its strength the Voice
and IP applications business.

"This contract proves that Siemens is a strong player in the carrier VAS
solutions space, and has a significant role to play as an integral prime

"Siemens Telecommunications and Tecnomen have already provided Vodacom with
similar technology this year, the new ring-back tone (RBT) technology.
Distributed IVR access is simply an extension of the access layer that is also
used for RBT" says Greg Cress, account manager for end to end applications at
Siemens.
